La Chine appuie les mesures de préventions et fait un don au Bénin
L’ambassade de Chine près le Bénin appuie les autorités sanitaires, dans le cadre de la lutte contre la pandémie coronavirus. L’Ambassadeur a fait don de lot de kits au Bénin. La cérémonie de remise s’est déroulée ce jeudi matin en présence du ministre de la santé Benjamin Hounkpatin.
La Chine donne 1500 tests du virus au Bénin. Il s’agit là, du premier acte de la Chine qui selon son représentant suit la progression de l’épidémie au Bénin depuis la découverte du premier cas. Partie de Wuhan en Chine au mois de décembre 2019, l’épidémie est aux portes du continent africain après avoir transité par l’Europe. En Afrique Occidentale, le Bénin figure sur la liste des pays touchés et compte aujourd’hui deux cas.
Le geste de la Chine vient donc en appui aux multiples actions de prévention et réponse en cours au Bénin. Le gouvernement a en effet pris une batterie de mesures pour freiner la propagation du virus. 11 mesures au total qui vont de l’interdiction des grands rassemblements à la mise en quarantaine systématique de tous les passagers à destination de Cotonou.
