La pandémie de la maladie à coronavirus Covid-19 continue de se propager dans le pays. Ces dernières semaines, le Bénin a connu une flambée exponentielle des cas confirmés et des décès.
C’est ainsi que, par exemple, à en croire Médiapart Bénin qui rapporte l’information, environ une trentaine de nouveaux cas confirmés ont été enregistrés ces derniers jours dans le seul département de l’Alibori, dans le nord du pays. Deux décès dus à la Covid-19 sont à déplorer, toujours selon ce média en ligne.
Pour Médiapart, cette hausse est liée à la non-observance des mesures-barrières. Il informe que des mariages auraient été célébrés ces derniers temps dans la région dans le non-respect des règles barrières. Ce qui, estime-t-il, a contribué à la propagation de cette maladie.
Il convient de souligner qu’il n’est précisé dans la publication, si ces cas ont été comptabilisés dans le dernier point officiel de l’évolution du mal. Pour rappel, à la date de 11 Juillet, 1378 cas dont 26 décès sont enregistrés au Bénin.
